Hello admin. I hope you consider my idea providing it will not affect or disrupt your current script system. My idea: ========================================== Members can upload a 40x40px * (or a size which will fit the face side of a cube) - graphic/image to use on their cube. Us members would be able to choose a graphic/image to put on the face side of our cube which would make our advertised cubes more individual and easier to stand out from other cubes shown. ========================================== For the Admin: ========================================== You could make this an additional option to the current colour picker option. It would provide an additional income revenue for you-cubez. It would increase cube purchases for the benefit of advertising and intent to advertise rather than, buy to sell cubes. It wouldn't cost you any more time because the uploaded graphic/image would be approved or denied at time of cube purchase approval. ========================================== For the members: ========================================== It would give us an extra option to make our cubes stand out and to also give viewers a visual insight into what we are advertising through our cube. It would also give us many more clicks from both members and outside visitiors because when scrolling or moving through the page, visually the cube with a graphic or image would stand out and be more interesting encouraging the member/visitor to click. ========================================== Final thought: ========================================== I understand that this could increase bandwidth and resources so you might not want to consider it, but if the additional option for was set at the right price it would work for both you and members. I most probably appear crazy and fanatic to have given so much thought into a feature that may never appear, but I really think visually this would bring you-cubez to a new level in advertising which You-Cubez is originally all about. Hi, Thank you for taking the time to suggest a new feature. To put it simply, the overall look would be ugly. This is due to the fact that only some members would add an image and most images would be low resolution. Unfortunately, I just don't think it would work. Lol ok I understand what you say. I welcome new features you say are being worked on, I hope one of those is an option to purchase cube packs (multiple cubes at one time). Thanks admin. 2012-10-16 at 18:56:48 |

good idea but this could also overwhelm the server I know the images would be small but the server would need to load 100 images every time someone opens the standard cubes. The admin is correct because members would either have to create their own images that could then cause a copy right problem or they would have to be shrunk and would look terrible. 2012-11-18 at 02:18:32 |
