For those of you interested; we talked about the rise of cryptocurrencies earlier this year (May), when 1 BTC (Bitcoin) = $1,742. Well... 1 BTC = $11,000 (as of today). Quite unbelievable. We actually bought 1 WHOLE bitcoin a few years ago for $50, however we stored it with MTGox who filed for bankrupty and apparently lost thousands of users' bitcoins! (That's another story) So... what does this mean? Is it still worth investing? No one really knows, but we made sure to buy a fraction of a Bitcoin back in May (just $100 worth at Coinbase) which is now worth approx. $500. AGAIN - we should have invested everything we had. 500% rise in 6 months is unheard of. Even then... we thought we'd missed out on the big money. How wrong we were. So the big Q... is this just the beginning for cryptocurrencies; or has it had its day? We would love to hear your thoughts. Did anyone invest? PS. I believe it's worthy investing although I can't really get it myself because the Bitcoin still can't be transferred as money to my bank account. It seems my country isn't registered to receive crypto currency yet. 2017-12-03 at 16:21:18 |

I think it is worth it to invest in crypto currencies and not only bitcoin for that matter. Looking at the crypto currency market today, a lot of other Alt-coins are also gaining popularity and are also increasing in values. But for this purpose of this topic which is for Bitcoin, I think it's worth it to invest in it, but with the sharp increase in the price ( although it seems good), this is kind of drawing skepticism, and I would only suggest that we invest only what we can afford into to. 2017-12-03 at 21:33:46 |
